Playtex Women's Playtex Posture Back 4643 ReviewI decided I couldn't live another day in an underwire, so I ordered a number of wire-free bras to try on and compare. This one was by far my favorite based on support, fit, and the shape of the (not pointy!) cups. So, this is one I kept.
I started to regret this purchase on my first wearing. I began to notice that the straps were set too close together. I have average to narrow shoulders and I don't own any wide- or boat-necked tops. Still, these straps were constantly creeping towards my neck and making themselves seen in the necklines of my standard V-neck tees. This was an unsightly AND uncomfortable problem.
Then, after no more than ten wearings, one of the chintzy little heart-shaped plastic links that holds the strap onto the front of the bra BROKE making it unwearable without a safety pin or a mending job that would have left the straps at a fixed (not adjustable) length.
I was surprised at the lack of good design and quality in this bra. I expected more from my first Playtex bra.Playtex Women's Playtex Posture Back 4643 Overview

Playtex Women's 18 Hour Active Lifestyle ReviewI have had bad luck with bras all of my life, so buying one online was really a stretch for me. Bras always made my breasts feel way too heavy, made me feel hot (sometimes sweaty) and made huge indentations in my shoulders (even the ones with the extra padding to prevent that). I couldn't wait to get out of my bra when I got home. I figured I was just cursed. I was finally fed up with all of the strap and bra tugging and did some online research. I found this bra with good reviews but not convinced, I visited the Playtex website and I'm so glad I did. I found that [...] has a great site for measuring yourself to see if you're wearing the right bra. It even addresses what specific problems you have and how to fix it (i.e. bra straps slide down a lot-- your size is wrong, or "mushroom" bumps at the top of your bra, the straps may be too tight). I found that apparently the size I always thought I wore was wrong. I had measured myself before to find the right fit, but it was apparently not a good measure because I have never had a bra fit the way I wanted it to or thought it should. The size I was given on [...] was very different from the size I've been wearing. I was hesitant to order a different size, but finally decided to go ahead because the ones I had clearly were not working. I chose to buy Playtex because that was the sizing site I used. This particular bra had good reviews for people with ample breasts. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! For the first time ever, I don't find myself tugging at the back to pull the bra down or constantly trying to find lost straps from where they fell into my sleeve. This bra is comfortable, breathable, and does the job. And, it looks good under a variety of different types of shirts. It's smooth, no lines, and looks natural, not pointy. It's not restrictive. It was listed as an "active lifestyle" bra so I sort of thought it would be like a sports bra, but I am happy to see it's not. I wear it with work outfits and at home in leisurely clothes and it's equally flattering and fitting for both. Playtex Women's Cross Your Heart Foam Lined Heart Jacquard Soft Cup Bra ReviewI have been using this style (number 4210) for over 16 years, now. I get complements from friends and even the nurses at my doctors' offices have begged me for this product's name and style number! Which really surprised me, since I suppose they see so many bras. There is something about the silky pattern and that tiny pearl heart! Very nice!
I wanted to review the bra to tell the best part about this product-It stays looking new after years of washing. And I don't mean handwashing, either. I wash mine in the washing machine and they get dried in the dryer. No special treatment. Somehow, the bras stay pretty and satiny and definitely keep their shape. Honestly, I have several 5 years old and they still have a bright, fresh color and still, they keep up the my "girls," well. The straps have some padding where they hit the tops of my shoulders, another comfort boost for larger 'girls.'

Playtex Women's 18 Hour Original Comfort Strap Bra #4693 ReviewI have memorized the model number of 4693 - a bra built for human females. The wide straps are awesome... they are tapered in such a way that they don't look like industrial strength suspenders, but they stay in place and don't flip over or cut grooves into your shoulders.
These bras do not have underwires - which means they don't get mangled in the washing machine or poke through. I have been buying this model number for almost 10 years now. Each bra has lasted me for almost 5 years with weekly washings in the washing machine and clothes dryer.
During their productive life span, they do not falter in support or comfort. I've never had a problem with hooks or eyes coming off the fasteners, or loose threads coming off after a wash.
Like any elastic garment, however, it will not last forever when you wash and dry all the time. Some people hand wash their bras and line dry them - I'm sure they would last much longer if I did this - but I just don't make the time to go through that effort.
The straps have a tiny amount of tapered padding that also helps in the comfort arena. When they call this an 18-hour bra, they are not kidding. I have had a number of situations at work where I have had to stay late - sometimes stay at work for a 24-hour shift now and then. When I've had to do this in the past w/ other bras, I thought I was going to drop dead from the fatigue and neck aches - but even after 20+ hours with this Playtex 4693 18hr bra, I am barely aware that it's even there - because it does it's job without needing constant fiddling and re-adjusting.
