I cannot understand the poor reviews, unless those folks like soft or stretchy bras. This is an ALMOST ALL cotton bra with non stretch straps, which I like. The soft bras are hot and usually allow sagging, as do stretch straps. This is thin cotton and therefore is nice and cool and the cups fit perfectly, if you know what size you truly are. Over the years, unfortunately, I have changed sizes but I go to a new size and get a perfect fit. I do not like the pads on the straps and always cut them off. I tried it out when I received it and I disagree with this. I bounce all over the place and I felt like I should not have. I wear a 40D in regular bra size and I ordered a XL that says it goes from 38CD to 40C. This would make me believe that it would have been super tight on me. I am mad that I spent the money for this bra not to work. Le Mystere Women's Dream Tisha Lace ReviewI am a fit specialist and very familiar with this bra.
The design and fabrication of this bra is as close to perfect as I have found in this type style. Definitely designed for lift and support. However, with the lace trim, gives a beautiful, feminine look to a fuller fit bra. Which sometimes are not so pretty.
Here's what I really like about this bra, it is designed to look like a cami. So if you lean over and lace happens to show, looks like you are wearing a cami. You don't have to buy cami and a bra,,, it's both. This comes in lots of colors,, so it's a real winner.
This fits true to size. It is not a cheap bra,,, you can tell that by just looking at this. Every thing about the design of this bra is for full lift and support. Plus this bra will last. If you are full fit,,, please do not expect a $40 bra to lift and support correctly all day long,,, for a year. Because it will not happen. At that price,,, they just cannot put in enough design features to offer all day full support over time. For a couple of months yes,,, but then,,, the support starts to go and then the bust is at the elbow again. The best way to think about bras, is to compare them to shoes. Every style fits different,,,try them on (be fitted by specialist) the better quality the more design features that can be added for comfort, fit and support. For bras, firm under wire and stays for lift/support with additional layers of cushioning for added comfort, more expensive fabric for support and durability, strong power net band for full support all day long. Just a few design elements that cheaper bras just don't have.
Here's the real secret to making your bras last. If you are full fit, C/D cup need four well fitting supportive bras. If you are fuller DD - DDDDD, get at least 6 bras. Here is why this is so important, the larger the bust the more pressure on the fabric. Plus if you only have two bras that you wear,,, then body oils break down fibers in the fabric and support is lost. However, women don't realize this and keeping wearing for a year,,, with the bust hanging down to the elbow and breast tissue stretching out.
Bust should be at the natural bust line,,, midpoint between shoulders and elbow. How to tell this,,, look at your profile in a mirror. It's easier to see in a side view. If the bust is closer to the elbow,,, that bra is not fitting correctly or giving support. Plus all the weight of the bust is on your shoulders and back.
I want to be clear hear on correct bra terminology,,, this is NOT a padded bra. It's a 1/4" fiberfill cup,,, which is called a CONTOUR cup. A padded bra is very thick, to make you look bigger.
A contour cup has structure, to give you lift and support and keep the bust at the natural bust line. Wacoal Women's Awareness Full Figure Underwire Bra - 85567 ReviewThis is one of my favorite bras. I am 5'0 and a 34DD and have a hard time finding bras that fit my cup size and put me in the "right place." Straps are usually too long for me or the bra itself is too flimsy and my chest falls. This bra has excellent support and a wide range of adjustment for the straps.
This bra has held up for about 11 months now with regular (2 days a week or so) wear. I read that bras are suppose to be replaced every 6 months. But there is no wear showing on the bra band or straps. The support level has not changed.
I have purchased from figleaves before (although not this bra) and have not had a problem with their shipment or return services.

Goddess Women's Jayne ReviewI am one of those people who cannot wear an underwire; not an easy thing in this size-range. Years of trying to find any kind of comfort in a wire left me cutting them out of anything I bought. A professional boutique bra-fitting finally told me what I needed to know. The shape of my body/ribcage would always make an underwire a painful thing. This is the best and most-comfortable large-sized (40I) wireless bra that I have been able to find. That said, it still does have a drawback. I am NOT a fan of the straps. They have a little metal clasp in the front rather than the traditional type of straps. I have found that over the course of the day, the metal clasp moves ever so slightly and they are nearly impossible to adjust on-the-go. I would prefer normal straps. Another thing I noticed is that if you were wearing the old version of this bra (stlye GD0110), you will now need to order 1 bandsize lower and 1 cupsize higher (I was 42H, now 40I). I saw that helpful tip on another sight before I ordered and they were completely correct. Still, I much prefer this to the old GD0110 which is now discontinued. The Jayne is much more stylish, comfortable and the amount of material sitting against your ribcage is what it should be. I always found the GD0110 to have just too much material at the ribcage and a very outdated look which made this 30-something woman feel like she was pushing 80. I only wish that bra manufacturers would realize that big-busted girls would like to have more options too... How about some nice colors beside nude & black? How about seamless/padded cups that conceal under a knit shirt? Why are these only available to people who could go without a bra if they wanted to ;) Long story short; it's not perfect but it is the closest I've found so far. Vanity Fair Women's Body Sculpt Ultra Shaping Full Coverage Contour Bra #75320 ReviewI am very pleased with this purchase. I am fairly large, 38 D, so buying (cheap) bras without trying them on usually doesn't work out. In this case, however; it turned out the bra was an excellent fit. The lift is visually pleasing without being outrageous. My breasts remain two separate entities rather than becoming a huge solid shelf (which is nice), and unlike many other push-ups, my breasts are not welling out creating that unseemly looking deformity. The straps are wide and overall it provides good support. For the money it seems like good quality, I haven't washed it yet though.
A few things:
* the hardware on the straps is silver-colored; it stands out, especially on the black bra (not hide-able by a spaghetti-strap top.),
* there is a protruding seam where the strap attaches to the top of the cup which causes chafing, and

Elomi Caitlyn Side Support Underwire Bra ReviewI have spent a good portion of my life looking for a great full-figured bra. I was ecstatic when I found the Goddess Kristie bras, and then devastated when they stopped making them. I found out that this Elomi Caitlyn bra is the exact same, with different sizes. I measured myself with the tips from their website, ordered the size they recommended and it fit perfectly. I am one happy girl again. I really like this bra because it's very supportive. It lifts and separates and doesn't kill my shoulders, which is the problem with any other bra I've tried. And it's pretty. This new Elomi version has more colors available than the Goddess version. I've wasted so much money looking for a bra that works for my short stature but well endowed chest. This is the one I was looking for.
